"steampunk" modification of my primary external drive.
Breme [it's previous name] was converted into "7-Novels".
got this book, "Seven French Novels" for 1$USD. and with 3 hours of cutting and gluing pages, crafted a pocket for the HDD to nestle in.
only the corners are glued, to prevent overheating. excess heat is expelled between the pages.
as an added bonus, the first story "Camille" is readable up to page 25. then the HDD is submerged until the beginning of "the Count of Monte Christo". The last story, Monte Christo, fully readable and fully unaffected by the mod.
i used a 1/32 drill to get a perfect hole in the pages, and this picture is actually outdated - i wrapped the cord in a matching blue fabric to appear as a traditional "booktail" or bookmark.
did you cut out a space for the cord, or do you have to open the book for access to the USB/power cord?
it's really simple, i should post a tutorial. lol
Glad you like it. ^_^

I wish money grew on trees, but if money grew on trees we would use something else to buy things with.
i can show you how to modify yours if you'd like.
