school and two jobs really have me pinned down. plus having somewhat of a social life is kinda nice... granted 90% of it's digital.
☲☲☲ 2 JOBS = 40 HRS/WEEK ☲☲☲<.< /is really disappointed with the sad state of my financial affairs. with some major problems headed my way i should start preparing for the ensuing typhoon. My car's gonna require some work in the coming months, new radiator and a new set of springs for the rear suspension. that's easily all of my earnings for the month of january. plus my parents want me to pay 10% more for staying at home. I don't mind and it kinda helps as a transition to get out the house but damn, it's expensive... but i digress... working two jobs is nice and allows for a decent cashflow into savings and pocket.
A prime example of the fruit of my labors, is my mac mini. ^_^ i will be the proud owner of a mac mini just before 2010 is over. for christmas i plan to have a mac mini, decent mid-range screen (atleast 17 inch screen), keyboard and mouse, plus a new desk. that's my christmas list (plus or minus some CD's i'm picking up---but those are cheapsies). But yes, if you understand the logic, i'm purchasing my own christmas gift, wrapping it, then tearing it open.
YAY~~mac mini~~ /mac-fanboy mode initiated
☲☲☲ WEBSITE + ACTUAL JOB ☲☲☲[link] <--- my website. finally have my own domain which i can direct potential clientele to. I'm glad it looks the same in all browsers, guess that's what i get for being über clean with my coding. /ho-ho-ho-ho-laugh. I intend to purchase a second domain, and craft my creative design group 'inka' into a better formed company. Between myself and some friends/links, i think we can craft a design firm, the likes of which the world has yet to see.

☲☲☲ UPDATES ☲☲☲School + two jobs is still keeping me busy, but the holidays are fast approaching which means the several commissions i have on hold will be processed and posted!
I do apologize to all of you who are patiently awaiting your art-trades and commissions.
☲☲☲ TYPO! ☲☲☲TO YOU I PROPOSE A PROJECT!!! Firstly pick a typeface you have strong feelings about, whether love/constantly-use, or dislike/detest. Understand the typeface's qualities, assign it a personality based on it's details. Now draw it. Yes, draw a personified version of the typeface. Before the new year, I have several characters who are waiting to be lifted from 'quick-sketches' to actual round ideas.
The current font-case---
Helvetica & Arial (swiss twins with long blonde hair. the two of them work together in the same design firm, Helvetica in the design studio, Arial in the finances/information agregation department (as per they're designs)..)
Century Gothic (Century is his name, he's a highschool goth-kid with a good head on his shoulders. He's in the drama club and prefers lead roles -- though his abraisive (and sometimes cold) personality is very "sans-serif".
Courier (Mr.Courier is the town's postmaster; he's a run of the mill postman, who's a father to Curlz MT, and is happily married to Mrs. Eaves.)
I'll leave with that remark, a hidden holiday joke. TYPO! will play out like a painting crafted by Courier and Mrs. Eaves! (from the caroling line "courier and ives".
